How much does it cost?
We offer bursaries to state-funded schools and colleges in England and across the UK to help them attend high-impact CPD at the National STEM Learning Centre in York.
To find if your organisation is eligible for a bursary, simply select a course and date you are interested in and then type in the name of your school or college. If you are logged in to your account, all you need to do is select the course and the date.

STEM Ambassadors
Bring a fresh and inspiring perspective to STEM lessons and career opportunities with support from STEM Ambassadors.
Who are STEM Ambassadors?
STEM Ambassadors are volunteers from a range of STEM-related disciplines and backgrounds, including engineers, designers, architects, scientists and technicians. They can be used to:
deliver inspirational talks and lectures to students
support students with UCAS applications
provide industry insights for curriculum development
support teachers with careers input in lessons
provide a means of engagement with employers

Quantum Technologies
Bring Quantum Ambassadors and researchers into your classroom to help bring cutting-edge physics and technology to life. Perfect for A level or equivalent students of physics or computer science, this programme demonstrates what fundamental quantum science is and how it works with future technologies.

CanSat
The CanSat competition provides students aged 14-19 with the opportunity to have practical experience working on a small-scale space project.
What is a CanSat?
A CanSat is a simulation of a real satellite, integrated within the volume and shape of a soft drink can. The challenge for students is to fit all the major subsystems found in a satellite, such as power, sensors and a communication system, into this minimal volume.
Celebrate your achievements and dedication to STEM with our two award schemes - the STEM Learning Teaching Awards and the STEM Inspiration Awards.
Applications for both award schemes take place annually. Shortlisted nominees will be invited to attend a regional event, of which the winners will attend a national final in London.
STEM Learning Teaching Awards
Aimed at teachers, technicians and educational institutions, the STEM Learning Teaching Awards provide an opportunity to be recognised for you and your organisation's engagement with STEM Learning’s professional development.
STEM Inspiration Awards
The STEM Inspiration Awards recognise and celebrate individuals, organisations and clubs working to inspire young people in STEM. There are award categories for STEM Ambassadors, STEM Clubs, organisations and projects that are encouraging diversity in STEM and raising young people's aspirations.

ENTHUSE Partnerships
ENTHUSE Partnerships are groups of 6-8 schools and colleges who work together to address local issues of low uptake or underachievement in STEM subjects.
Partnerships are given up to £20,000 worth of support, which includes access to:

STEM Ambassadors and enrichment activities
By working together, groups of schools and colleges can deepen relationships with local employers and utilise the wider package of support provided by STEM Learning.
Rolls-Royce Schools Prize for Science and Technology
Young people aged 3-19 are invited to submit applications with ideas for a sustainable science, maths or technology initiative. Your initiative can either be a new idea or development of something you’re already working on.
Each year up to 50 schools and colleges are awarded a £1,000 Special Merit Award for STEM teaching. If selected as a finalist, you will be provided with a further £5,000 to implement your action plan in the second year of this two-year rolling awards programme.
